Letter from Dr. Sajan George

Dear Friend,

When I started Mother Teresa Children’s Foundation, it was only with a prayer and a dream. I was so inspired by Mother Teresa’s life, and I sought to honor her memory with a lasting legacy of compassionate service. Today, that dream is a reality. Through the many outreaches of MTCF, lives have been forever changed.

Our effective programs have helped children go to school who would never have gotten an education otherwise. We have brought relief to children who were on the brink of death for lack of medicine. We have given hot meals to orphans who have no home and no one to care for them.

Not only have thousands of lives been touched, Mother Teresa Children’s Foundation has been endorsed by political and religious leaders around the world for our efforts to stop hunger and poverty. In October, 2005, I was invited to the Vatican to meet with Pope Benedict XVI to receive his Papal Blessing for the efforts of MTCF on behalf of needy and suffering children.

MTCF has also received letters of welcome from Cardinal and Archbishop Telesphore P.Card.Toppo of Ranchi, India, Archbishop Jozef Michalik, Metropolita Przemyski, and Priest Zbigniew Sobolewski, Secretary of Caritas Poland, among others. Our warm and open international reception has made it possible for MTCF to gather support across Europe to help the less fortunate in Asia, Africa, and other parts of the developing world.

Although MTCF is not affiliated with the Missionaries of Charity in any way, we join our voices with theirs to honor the life and memory of Mother Teresa of Calcutta. We pay special tribute to her with an eternal commitment to follow in her footsteps to care for the suffering and needy children of the world. All around the world, the compassion and care that Mother Teresa exemplified for us is growing stronger because of MTCF. We invite you to read about our many efforts around the world and consider joining us to be a part of this legacy of mercy in bringing help to the poorest of the poor.

Sincerely,

Dr. Sajan George Kavinkalath, MTCF Founder
